Commis Chef Bakery (Fulltime)

As a Commis Chef Bakery, you support the bakery team in preparing fresh bread, viennoiserie, and specialty bakery products while ensuring consistency, food safety, and presentation standards. You work closely with senior bakery chefs, maintain HACCP compliance, and develop your baking skills while contributing to exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.

What you will do

Support the preparation and production of bread, rolls, viennoiserie, and specialty bakery products according to approved recipes and production schedules.

Assist with mise en place preparation and ensure the bakery section is fully prepared before production begins.

Support dough preparation, shaping, proofing, baking, and finishing under the guidance of senior bakery chefs.

Ensure all bakery products are stored, labeled, and rotated correctly according to FIFO, HACCP, and food safety regulations.

Maintain high standards of product quality, consistency, hygiene, and cleanliness throughout all production periods.

Clean and sanitize bakery equipment, utensils, trays, ovens, and workstations after use.

Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance requirements, or food safety concerns to the Head Baker or Demi Chef de Partie Bakery.

Collaborate closely with the bakery team, pastry team, and broader culinary team to ensure efficient daily operations.

Continuously develop your baking knowledge and skills by learning from senior bakery team members.

Your profile

Bakery school enrollment, bakery diploma, culinary diploma, or equivalent entry-level culinary training is preferred.

Passion for baking and a genuine desire to build a professional bakery career.

Basic knowledge of bread production, baking techniques, kitchen hygiene, food safety, and HACCP principles.

Experience in a bakery, hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment is an advantage.

Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Flexible to work early morning shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

HACCP certification or willingness to obtain certification.
