Chief Engineer (Fulltime)

As a Chief Engineer, you will ensure the hotel’s building, equipment, and grounds are always in excellent condition. You will lead and develop the maintenance team while managing budgets, contracts, and payroll. You will also implement preventative maintenance plans to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What will you do:

Ensure the hotel's building, equipment, and grounds are in good working order.

Hire, train, supervise, and schedule the engineering and maintenance staff.

Manage the department's budget, oversee service contracts, and authorize payroll.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and oversee repairs to prevent future issues.

Your profile:

Chief Engineer 5 years of management experience in hotel engineering. 

A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is a must. 

Experience in a luxury hotel or a large property with over 400 rooms. 

Strong knowledge of various systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. 

Proficiency with computer programs, including personal computers and related software, is essential. 

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are crucial for the role. 

Fluent in English and Papiamento.
